But, you see…..when “Harry Potter” first came out I was all like, “Hey, you should totally read these! They are great books.” I begged her for years to read them. Just one of them. Finally she obliged my begging (probably just to shut me up). But, she ended up hating it. She said that the writing sucked and she didn’t even end up finishing it. “Um, okay.”
To each his or her own, right? Guess you have to be in certain moods to read “certain” books.
I have found though, that movies based off books mostly disappoint me. Except for the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. And, the first “Harry Potter” movie was pretty good. The rest of the Harry Potter movies have failed to follow the books, and I would leave the theater pretty pissed and disappointed. So, as I venture to the movie theater this weekend to spend at least a hundred dollars for 6 kids and popcorn, I am hoping that “Twilight” will not disappoint me as other movies have. I really hope it’s as good as this spoof:

You have time to read a book? What’s that like? OMG, my captcha is methodists 18. WTF does that mean? I’m sending you a picture of it for fear you wont’ believe me.

I know, I’m scared… What if it’s NOT good? I’d CRY. Hopefully I will get to see it this weekend.

I’m taking my daughter to see it tonight, but I’m dropping her off, I’m not going to watch it. I love reading and I loved the Harry Potter series, but I don’t really have an interest in reading Twilight. Maybe all the hype has turned me off a bit. It’s HUGE.
